But behind the sun, sand and crystal clear waters, another of Formentera’s great pleasures is its gastronomy. We recommend that you do not spend a holiday on the island without trying some of its traditional dishes and drinks as well as visiting some of the best-known restaurants and beach bars.
Traditional products:
In Formentera we can buy some traditional products made 100% on the island, such as Peix Sec (dried fish), the main ingredient of the famous country salad. Liquid salt, different varieties of wine, honey, fruits such as dried figs, almonds. Fresh cheese from the island, or the famous and very typical Formentera herbal liqueur.
