In Formentera, a multitude of events, concerts, parties, live music, markets and flea markets are held, among many other cultural and tourist-interest activities. They are famous for their Flower festivals, their sporting events that bring together thousands of people from all over the world or their live music concerts for the San Juan festivities among other popular festivities on the island.
Most events are held in the spring-summer season to take advantage of the good weather and the influx of tourists, although we can also find some very special festivals and events in autumn and winter on the island, such as one of the Flower festivals that take place. It is normally celebrated in December on the dates of the day of San Francisco Javier, patron saint of the island.
Without a doubt Formentera is much more than sun and beaches. It is an island where we can enjoy many activities, events and parties that show us the most dynamic, fun and leisure side of the island.
